    Marico Dreams Guest House welcomes you in the Marico Bushveld in the Groot Marico / Zeerust District.

Our guest house is on the Bokkraal Road on the farm Vergenoeg, where you will feel at home. The guest house is about 400m from the river banks of the Groot Marico River were the cooling water welcomes you. The water flowing over the rocks brings spiritual comfort, you can hear the birds singing in the trees and the quietness will bring you nearer to God. The stars in the night is a wonderful experience, far from that you are used to.

Groot Marico
– A mere two hour’s dive from Johannesburg will bring you to a haven known as the Marico Bosveld. This historic rural town and farming community is situated next to the Groot Marico River and it’s a birdwatchers paradise. It is also here that you will find the world renowned mampoer. Groot Marico is situated between Swartruggens and Zeerust, nearly in the middle of the two places, you have to turn from the N4 to go into the town.

Looking for a place to stay, then you are at the right place, Marico Dreams Guesthouse, in the heart of the Marico Bosveld. We are on the gateway to Botswana and Namibia and not far from Madikwe Game Reserve. Our guesthouse offers you affordable accommodation with dinner on request and our breakfast will keep you up and running till late. If you are a guest, we want you to feel at home and give you the best accommodation in Groot Marico that you will enjoy coming back to our guesthouse. Our guesthouse is 3km outside the town Groot Marico where you can enjoy nature, walk to the river, about 400m from the house, or walk our self guided hiking trail for about 5km in the bush, there are beautiful trees (quite a number of trees are identified), and you will enjoy the view on your way. Groot Marico is a small town, but there is a lot to do and see, you can visit our Information Centre in Groot Marico they offer day package tours like mampoer tours and traditional village tours to introduce you to the attractions of our rich natural environment and cultural and historical diversity. Groot Marico is also the home of the Herman Charles Bosman Literary Society and every year there is a weekend planned to listen to stories. There are game farms in our district and some of them offer game drives, there is also a game farm where you can look at the lions. There is a crocodile farm about 26km from our B&B. For those who like fishing, you can try your luck in the Marico River or the Marico Dam, it is about 10km from our guesthouse. Over 200 species of birds have been identified in the area for those who like bird watching, there are plenty birdlife around the house and near the river. The Marico Eye is about 30km from our guesthouse on the gravel road to Zeerust where inland scuba diving is popular.
